Tryout Schedule
2022-2023 Season

Tuesday July 19th, Thursday July 21st and Tuesday August 2nd
*(Rain Date for 8/2 is Thursday August 4th)
Times: 6:00PM to 8:00PM each evening
Location: Ross Park Bowne Street Port Ewen, NY 12466
***We are looking to form two teams from tryouts:
- The first will be an age specific 16U showcase team which will concentrate on advocating for our players and providing
proper guidance in the college recruitment process while competing in a college showcase schedule. All the tools, college
level instruction and connections we have that has worked for our former Fillies who went on to play collegiately will be
given to our 16U players and families in helping them achieve their future student/athlete dreams.
- The goal of our 16U/18U team will be to continue to help those who aspire to play at the college level as well as keep those ready who have already found their college teams. It's also designed for all those who love the game and want to continue to play competitive travel softball, but who may be undecided about or will not have softball in their collegiate future. The same level of instruction and advocacy for those still looking at colleges will be given to our 16U/18U team.
BOTH teams are expected to participate in a Nationals event to conclude the 2022/2023 season.
Coaches:
16U - Rick Spriggs, Mike Chilcott, Tori Decker and Jess Chilcott
18U - Mike Starego and Sally Filancia
Note - Coach Filancia will also be coaching our Ulster Fillies 18U College team in the Summer of 2023. She will be a coach
for the 16U/18U team during the Fall/Winter seasons and will maintain an active role on the 16U/18U throughout the Summer.
Please contact Rick Spriggs at (845)399-8162 or spriggsrick@yahoo.com if you have any questions.
18U questions can also be directed to Mike Starego at (845)249-5971 or misa14308@yahoo.com.
Coach Filancia may be contacted at sbf4ny@aol.com.
You can also email us at ulsterfillies@yahoo.com and we will respond ASAP.
We look forward to meeting all that are interested in potentially playing in our organization. Thank you for considering the
Ulster Fillies as your travel family!!!
